Emily Cohen
Emily joined PMI in 2016 as a member of the local PMI-SWVA Chapter. She has 20 years of experience in education, client relations, project management, and process management. As a teacher, manager, and supervisor she has extensive familiarity with the leadership expectations, responsibilities and other tasks required of the President Elect and chapter leadership over the next few years.
Emily currently serves as the Director, Sales Success for PowerSchool. She has her PMP and PMI-ACP certifications through PMI. Previous employers include Roanoke College and Bedford County Public Schools.
Emily establishes an organized, decisive and strategic approach to leading processes and projects. She has a strong work ethic, supported by the ability to develop and cultivate relationships. She will actively engage other members of the organization and community to help promote the goals and values of PMI. Emily’s leadership will bring a balanced approach to taking the initiative required to get things done while effectively soliciting the inputs of others.
